Happy Memorial Day In honor of all my friends who have loved ones pass to protect this great land for us!

I have never been able to think of the day as one of mourning; I have never quite been able to feel that half-masted flags were appropriate on Decoration Day. I have rather felt that the flag should be at the peak, because those whose dying we commemorate rejoiced in seeing it where their valor placed it. We honor them in a joyous, thankful, triumphant commemoration of what they did.

Exciting news

Several of you have had a chance to take a class from Karen Burniston's here at Scrapp'n Savvy and know that her new Pop and Cuts will be released soon. Scrapp'n Savvy will have them first and we want to celebrate! I won a Tim Holtz autographed Vagabond at the winter CHA and I want to give it away. Here is how you can win . . . Karen will be here June 2nd from 1pm - 5pm to demo and sell here Pop and Cuts. When you pre-order your base Pop and Cut die you will have your choice of one of the following Sizzix while supplies last.

At the end of her demo we will have a drawing for the Vagabond. You may be asking yourself how do I get a ticket for the drawing? Every $20 purchase made at Scrapp'n Savvy from May 21st - June 2nd will get you a ticket. If you attend Pictures and Pen Required on May 24th you will receive 2 tickets. If you attend A Little Bit of This and That on May 29th you will receive 3 tickets. If you attend Fast Fun and Done May 23rd you will receive 3 tickets. If you come in to Scrapp'n Savvy and take your picture while you are here and post it on face book on or before May 31st you will receive 5 tickets.
