Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we started the day with our family scripture study where we read of the birth of our Savior in Luke 2 as well of the prophesy of this special child told by Samuel the Lamanite in the Book of Mormon. It was great to have Rachel playing the piano so we could sing songs that told of the same scenes. Alec dug out my old costume box so we could picture Christmas in full color. I would love to share this with you.

Alec as Samuel the Lamanite sang of the prophesy of the Savior to be born in Bethlehem

Douglas as Joseph and Nikki as Mary set the stage.

Dillon and Taylor filled in for Joseph and Mary after the birth so our sweet Victoria could play the star role, Jesus for the grand event.

Grandpa Jones did a great job as the angel who told the Shepards (Geoffrey, Danae and Michelle) that Christ was born.

Jared, Douglas and Kurtis sang in perfect harmony as they followed the star to that blessed babe.

Merry Christmas

It has been a wonderful Christmas season. I was able to spend lots of time with my family. Of course we had to take our granddaughter to see Santa Clause. We had planned a trip to the mall and changed our plans when we realize what a better memory for Victoria to have the first special Christmas photo with her Great Grandpa and Great Grandma..

B. Dazzled?!?

My first thought was... what a cute name!
Then it hit me, That's a knock-off Walmart "great value" brand of me!
Hey, wait a second... oh well, my Dad always told me the greatest compliment is someone copying your work, so I guess a Thank You is in order. So thanks for the endorsement and support, and overall compliment.
Hey my loyal Razzill Dazzill Girls, and sometimes boys, The real deal is still here. Sign up for my classes. Same teacher, same materials, same atmosphere, different location.
There is always a time in life when moving out is in order. So I moved out. I am now the head of my household, or classroom in this case. I love you guys, and I hope you enjoy my new location.

Starting a new journey

I loved my journey with Lone Star Scrapbook but now I feel it is time to redirect my journey on a new path. I just finished a new class at Lone Star that I call Lickety Slip. The concept is to create an album as you live your memories. We prepare the month before so as we live we can record or special experiences as we live them. As I sat down to complete my book it occurred to me that I don’t have enough pictures to document all my memories. UGH! All work and no play makes for a sad mom!
I started my Lickety Slip for 2010 yesterday at Lone Star and my goal is to have pictures with my memories so my book will be totally complete at the end. Although I will not be teaching the rest of 2010 Lickety classes at Lone Star, I welcome all who want to join me in my studio for a small more personal class. I will be holding a class of eight 4 times a month and I have reduced the price to $24.00 because I will not have a room rental fee. You can sign up for the class right here on my blog using paypal or mail in your payment to a PO Box address to be posted later.
I hope you will still come and play!

RDB - May

Doesn't matter if you are scrap'n for a girl or a boy, because you get to choose which layouts you want to do! Here is an example. Two layouts with the same design yet one is for a girl and the other for a boy.

Joy of motherhood

To all my Razzill Dazzill Bazzill peeps,

I am so sorry that my class was rescheduled for next Tuesday May 26th. My youngest son has been fighting an inter ear infection for the past five day. Yesterday as I was trying to finish the kits for class and comfort my little guy as he was throwing up. Finally around 2 I threw in the white towel and called the store to reschedule. It was breaking my heart to see Dillon suffer. My teacher hat came off and I kicked into full time mommy!

My poor Dillon laying on the floor of my studio trying to find comfort in a small puppy. . .

Today we are off to the doctor to see if there is something else we can to do to help him.

As for my RDB peeps, I will give you a sneek peek of the layouts you were going to do today.

Come back tonight and take a peek!

Oh, to be a butterfly!

Wow! Where has the time gone? I seem to have good intentions but there doesn't seem to be enough time to fulfill my intentions. It has been written that a butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough. I have been fluttering around like a butterfly and my months have been filled with many memorable moments but unlike the butterfly, I have not enough time for all.

Today I am making the time to share my moments . . .

First and foremost my peanut is a girl!

My family all came to texas for a visit! I love having them all together. It brings me so much joy watching them interact with each other. I thought I had the best life when I was blessed with six amazing young men. How could life get any better, well I can tell you the presence of daughters changes the chemistry of a family and I LOVE it. Jared and Douglas, thank you for adding Rachel and Nikki to the Awesome Allen family! I love you girls!

My boys have all been involved in Scouting. In this last month we celebrated Derek, my four boy being awarded an Eagle Scout Award. This is the highest rank a boyscout can earn! I am so proud of you Derek! You are wonderful!

So, if time was measured by moments, then I have all the time in the world! Does it really matter that I don't get everything done! No, not in the real scheme of things. What really matters is not trying to accomplish your goals every day!

Razzill Dazzill Class

As promised…here are the layouts and their coordinating page from my last Razzill, Dazzill, Bazzill Class that I teach at The Lone Star Scrapbook store here in Houston.

I have been involved in many crafts but when my brother and his wonderful wife introduced me to the world of scrapbooking I set my other crafts aside and embraced a new love for paper. I give full credit to them and the Bazzill design team for they are my inspiration. I was given the privilege to be trained by the Bazzill Design Team! If any of you have had the opportunity to attend CHA or Memory Trends and have seen the Bazzill booth, you would know that Bazzill has a distinct style. Even though each member of that team has their own individual style it seems that they have an “inspector 2000” making sure each layout fits into the Bazzill standard. It is my dream that my style can meet those standards. Thanks to the wonderful instructors of Scrapbooks Etc.. of Mesa AZ, Heidi Lynn, Kelli, Pam, Angie, Amy, Lesli, and Jennifer. When I grow up I want to be just like you! : ) You can join me each month as I share the many techniques these women have either taught me or have inspired my work.

Hi friends and fellow scrappers!

I thought it would be fun to start a blog. I have been asked to email my class coordinating layout ideas to some of the gals in my classes. I thought this might be an easier way to get those ideas out to you. This is a work in progress. As you know we all need to learn to walk before we can run. Therefore I first need to learn to be a technology nerd. (hehehe)

See you soon!
